Labels, Stereotypes & Social Constructs Pt. 2

Race is the most ridiculously self -serving and destructive social construct ever invented in the history of humanity. Since its inception, it has had no foundational merit for existence other than to stronghold people into tribal boxes to be pre-judged and controlled. It illegitimizes the dynamic and rich history of a people, some of whom may or may not share the same skin color but have meaningful cultural distinctions. None of which matters because it has all been traded in for a mere Crayola confection of white, brown, red, black, and yellow.

This might come across as hyperbolic, but I stand by it.

As a Black American, I refuse to minimize the significance of culture, history, and contribution into a colored box of race. I’d rather view Black American heritage as my ethnic identity, which is distinct even though there are other groups who share my skin color. These cultural dynamics matter.

Nevertheless, back to the matter at hand

Race itself originated with Carl Linnaeus’ work on human classifications starting in 1735, which he further expanded on in 1758 in the 10th edition of Systema Naturae, where he correlated geography and skin color with temperament, physical traits, clothing, moral attributes, and governance.

Then came Johann Friedrich Blumenbach with his creation of the race classifications that are embedded into our culture and society today, such as Caucasian, Mongolian, Ethiopian, American, and Malayan. Blumenbach’s “Degeneration” Theory of 1775 where he proposed that environmental factors were part of the degeneration of the original, ideal “Caucasian” type into other varieties.

Thus, the origin story of the villain known as racism.

This is why when I see the word racist being tossed carelessly around as a political football by media, politicians, educators, and influencers, It is disturbing. It dismisses the severity of the context and history of the word. A word designated for individuals both past and present who would bow before the unholy altar of Race-Realism and Separatism. Who are perfectly fine with genocide as an acceptable practice because any other color or creed of people are simply an inferior generic cancer.  Those who are slaves of this credence consider race mixing as high treason, and when in doubt, blame the Jews. To be perfectly clear, there is no one group of people who have the monopoly on this ideology.

The word racist has morphed into a plot device to slanderously dehumanize and silence anyone who might stray from the mainstream narrative. I have witnessed moderate left, right, and center Americans be shamed with this label like a leper cast out of politically correct society for showing the slightest hesitancy of allegiance to the progressive over-lords.

God forbid you have a different perspective or criticism, oh, it is because “you are racist!”

“ That statement hurt my feelings”,

“it is because you are a hateful racist! “

Everything everywhere all at once is now racist.

The truly inferiating and perverse part of this whole situation is the utter hypocrisy of these race-hustling antics. It is my opinion that the actual racism that has become mainstream is grossly ignored.

For instance, a viral video of a White woman yelling the N word at a Black man because he is an ICE agent, with no repercussions from Black activists, is evidence of a common provision allowable in the How to be Black Manual for those deemed as traders to “ Blackness”.

Likewise, if the argument against voter ID laws relies on the idea that Black Americans can’t figure out how to get an ID, you might want to reconsider who’s actually being condescending. This flimsy point completely ignores the fact that 87% — 94% of Black Americans have government-issued ID, and 95% of Black Americans managed to vote for President Obama in 2008; plus, you literally need ID for EVERYTHING! There are smarter ways to dispute the SAVE Act; yet, race has become like a security blanket for thoughtless narratives.

Lastly, I would be remiss if I looked over Governor Gavin Newsom’s most recent efforts to “relate” to a room full of Black folks; by letting them know that he too has low SAT scores and is illiterate, such common campaign practices are never called out for what they are.

Thankfully, the pattern of such tactics has been researched.

In 2018, Yale University conducted a collaborative study which found that liberal Democrats simplify their language when speaking to minorities, while Conservatives have no change. (BigThink)

The selective outrage of what type of racism to shame or mobilize against exposes how manufactured this whole scheme is.

Nevertheless, this has created a culture and climate of people who have been emotionally exploited, disoriented in their perception to the point where some viciously champion violence to those branded as irredeemable racists. I must briefly acknowledge one of the most consequential examples of this.

Many people may not know that Charlie Kirk, who was tragically assassinated last October, hired and partnered with a diverse group of people. When his organization, Turning Point USA, was in its early days, one of his first hires included a Black woman, not out of tokenism or needing to meet a corporate checkbox, just merit. In the aftermath of his death, she admitted that while she did not agree with Kirk’s views, based on her personal encounter with him, he was “always kind”. In that same video, she also shares how Charlie called out a staffer for trying to defend the Confederate flag.

His longtime friend Candice Owens, another Black woman, was instrumental in helping him build TPUSA.

This debunks the notion that Charlie Kirk thought all Black women lacked “processing power”;  basic context and research saves lives.

Furthermore, Kirk also supported Owens’ interracial marriage.

Kirk welcomed a great deal of members of the LGBTQ community into the conservative movement. Encouraged Black influencers and partnered in the creation of Blexit, an organization that empowers Black conservatives as it contributes resources like free back-to-school supplies and support for Black entrepreneurship, not out of some misplaced White guilt, but from a desire to see Black America be excellent. Many of the harshest criticisms of the Black community Kirk held were previously expressed by other Black Americans as well.

Kirk is even on the record for kicking out White Nationalists from his events and exposing the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is responsible for funding hate groups.

This greatly contrasts Nick Fuentes, an unapologetic far-right White Nationalist. A well-known rival and harsh critic of Charlie Kirk for not being more supportive of White- only interest and too supportive of Jews; yet, if you let mainstream media tell the story, both of these men are racist.

When the masses cannot detect the real racists from the manufactured ones, we have allowed something destructive to enter the heart of our society.

When I hear people say racism is on the rise, I kinda roll my eyes, because I understand that this is mostly due to the rise in the misuse and labelling of the word. It is an artificial but dangerous ploy because it is making people a target and creating enemies where there are none. The fallout has generated real resentment and regression in race relations on all sides of the political and cultural spectrum, which in turn is producing fully realized racism.

Final Thoughts

Authentic cultural diversity is beautiful.

When it is forced or minimized to different skin colors while being intolerant to diversity of thought, it is disingenuous and always causes more harm than healing.

At this point in history, it is my opinion that racism has largely been manufactured in America to keep us divided because it is the only way the elite can maintain its control. We the People have the power to refute the weaponization of the worst social construct ever devised and pull the plug on racism once and for all.
