Hi, I’m Corrinda.
I will never forget the moment of my awakening, the first time I became aware of human trafficking. It felt like more than a coincidence. Just a week earlier, I had a vivid dream: a woman trapped in what seemed like an underground lair, held by a menacing captor. I didn’t understand it then. But days later, a television special on the realities of human trafficking caught my attention—and everything clicked.
In that moment, I knew my life would never be the same. I felt a clear and undeniable calling: to stand against this evil.
I began with research, which led to attending awareness events and completing foundational trainings, including the Human Trafficking 101 course through Polaris Project. For a time, I also served with S.T.R.I.P.E.S., a committee within the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition in South Florida. But even then, I knew this was only the beginning.
In 2022, I started creating awareness videos on TikTok. I was and still am a passionate amateur, but I could no longer stay silent. Over the next three years, the vision for something greater began to take shape. I came to understand that my fight against human trafficking was part of a much larger, purpose-driven mission.
At the same time, I couldn’t ignore what I saw happening in our culture. Division, misinformation, and the exploitation of fear and trauma have created an environment where truth is often obscured, and meaningful dialogue is lost. Despite holding a more conservative worldview, I felt called to help rebuild bridges—to create space for honesty, moderation, and thoughtful conversation.
That calling led me to launch the Counter Cultured blog in 2024, where I offer cultural commentary alongside my advocacy work.
Then came another defining moment. On September 10, 2025, I experienced what I can only describe as a final awakening, one that solidified my commitment beyond hesitation. It was a turning point. From that day forward, I decided not just to speak, but to speak boldly and with intention.
Counter Cultured Inc. is still in its infancy, but I believe deeply in its purpose and its future. This is more than a platform; it’s a mission to bring light into dark places, to challenge, to inform, and to help make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
